Rebecca Horn | Exhibition film
The exhibition “Rebecca Horn” at Haus der Kunst offers a comprehensive overview of the renowned artist’s six-decade transmedia work. Central to this exhibition are the elements of choreography and performance, which characterise Rebecca Horn's entire oeuvre. In the exhibition film, curator Jana Baumann gives insights and explains how these aspects function as central elements of Horn's early to late work.

Anyone, literally anyone out there with a slight interest in design, would’ve been a “Carlo Mollino” if they had behind Eugenio Mollino with all his money and powerful friends as a father. You want the full picture, ask his contemporaries who were competing against him in design competitions. It’s funny to see how the only people pushing his designs are people who have close interests in the matter. Unfair world we live in folks…

Ich war dort und fand es sehr bewegend und schön. Ich kann die Ausstellung absolut empfehlen!
If there is one thing I know about architects TODAY is that many, and particularly the successful ones are liars, they pretend. They pretend, they have no fixed 'style' which they apply to their projects, they feign democracy and that they care what the public thinks of their buildings they fake being bothered about the environment, being liberal, even 'left-wing', being caring and non-sexist. But some of them, the successful ones are selfish brutes who sleep with students/employees, drive expensive cars and treat staff like scum, they also approach design from prescribed viewpoints and prejudiced design ideas - yes STYLES that they apply to every project! Wasn't Mollino just honest, brilliant, organised, secretive, disciplined, an HONEST polymath, in this profession we are such practiced and accustomed liars we fear and distrust honesty. Viva Mollino, you brilliant bastard! Now tie your neckties, and start acting like the businessmen you are, you aren't workers and taking your ties off doesn't kid anyone that you are.

Sie geben sich mächtig wichtig und autoritär. Genau das Gegenteil dessen was diese Band jemals akzeptierte. "we all work on the idea of Babylon tonight" - oh yeah, da nimmt ein sehr unwichtiger Mensch eine sehr unwichtige Gelegenheit wahr, um einen Weltmythos an einem Abend zu erfüllen .Ein Wort ist da wichtiger als das andere und ein Redner NOCH wichtiger als der andere .Jawoll. Hirnfuck pur. Und dann der verbrämte Prä-Böhmermann-Verschnitt A.Kluge. Der sich am eignen verbalen Geschwulst hochzieht.Ziel war es einen Mythos - einen echten, weil er lebendig war - zu zerstören.Ihn mit Adaptionen von Stilmitteln einer intellektualisierten Kunst zu karikieren. Spass haben die, die sich am Geschlachteten ergötzen können.Ironischerweise scheint das Opfer- A.D.- hier das einzufahren, was sie der damaligen Gesellschaft entgegenwarfen, mit ihren kakophonischen sounds , besonders aus der A.D.-Phase, aus der A.D.2 hervorgingen.Denen es dann um komerzielle Ausrichtung ging und in Deutschland den "Krautrock" repräsentieren sollten. - Dennoch: Dummer Beitrag, dummer selbstgefälliger Menschen, denen man im "Kulturbetrieb" Geld ans schlecht sitzende Revers heftet.Schade, dass Helge Schneider , Helge Schneider ist, und mitspielt, wo er doch zuvor mit der Bröselmaschine gut bedient wurde .....Dann lieber Drogen und noch was davon haben, gelle?- Quintessenz: -- "Das Böse frisst sich selbst"--q.e.d. -.
